Good Bye

by Jessica   Apr 13, 2008

I walk slowly down a quiet road.
Nothing there, behind me.
A bird speaks its form of code.
"Good-Bye" the bird speaks its words.

I've heard something behind me.
I know he's there.
Still, nothing to see.
But why should I ever care?
"Good-Bye" the bird speaks its words.

Thr bird sets flight.
In a tree, it sits now.
He is here to fight.
All I can do is bow.
"Good-Bye" The bird speaks its words.

Its eyes are a bloodthirsty red.
He's just standing still.
It's clear he hasn't fed.
He takes off, coming for the kill.
"Good-bye" The bird speaks its words.

I have been bitten.
I'm going to die.
My story never to be written.
I let out one more cry.
"Good-Bye the bird speaks its words.

First, spell check is there to be used, and proof reading should be done prior to asking for critiques.
A few of your rhymes appear to be forced and not really fitting into the story.
