Is It Worth Being Alone?

Even if they were so close once,
Boys will never chose the one they actually love. . .
They look for the ones who sit, don't speak, and are small enough to fit in a glove.

They call you these cute names and hold you tight,
But you leave for only a short time and your best friend is in their sight. . .

You could have the one you know would be easier to get,
But that would just mean that summer would've been better off unspent.

Don't give up, don't lose hope,
Just remember eventually he'll need you to cope.

That normally would be the end of any great poem,
but in reality how can you wait for him to come around?
How can you wait? How can you stand being ALONE?
