Dear God

by To Love and Be Loved   Apr 14, 2008

You took him away from us, from all the people who cared,
Do you have no conscience, no feeling at all?
Did you not look down upon us in the dreadful times we had to endure because of your handiwork,
And see that we are so sad, grieving everyday for the wonderful man you decided to have by your side.
He was a man of patience, persistence and compassion.
A father figure to myself and plenty of other kids just like me.
He has two wonderful daughters and two gorgeous grandchildren who will now miss him and mourn him till the day they die.
He will never be able to watch his grandchildren grow up into the fine young people they will one day be.
But even still, you seem not to care.
Have you no morals at all??

This poem is dedicated to an amazing man, who was the closest thing to a father I will have ever got.

Rest In Peace
May you be looking down on us wherever you are!!
