This Little Girl

by novice keathley   Apr 14, 2008

It seems that only at times, can I find this little girl.
She is the most lovable little thing in the whole world.

But only when it's the right time she comes to my mind,
So precious she is - I want to hold her and and be ever so kind.

You see, "This Little Girl," is inside me.

I can so plainly see this chubby little dark haired girl
running toward me.
I'm running to gather her up in my arms with such glee.

You see - She is part of me.
And loving her will set me free.

With ever so much regret, the adult me, has to see,
This little girl was neglected and rejected,
She was abused and so very confused,
She was so sad, never glad, never shown affection,
And unable to put together any kind of connection.

Thank You God for helping me find this little girl,
Cause now I can love her, hold her and console her.

You've know God, for quite sometime,
I'd have to find this little girl to ease my mind.

Now I know - she is lovable and so very worthy,
Although at what a cost.

MAMA & DADDY, it was your loss.
