Blue Eyed Baby

Tears filled my bright blue eyes

As I gazed upon your face

To me the ceiling seemed the skies

And my room a vast and empty place

As you held me in your loving arms

Your sweet song filled my ears

You hushed my sobs with playful charms

And lovingly brushed away my tears

You grasped my tiny hands in yours

And gazed into my eyes

To you all beauty from every shore

Could not match the beauty in my eyes

Young and innocent did I seem then

Beautiful and perfect maybe

But this I know for sure that then
