Being a Girl

by x Mo x   Apr 15, 2008

Pretty dresses, shirts and shoes.
Why do these girls always come in twos?
You have to get up before the sun
Just to take a morning run.
Takes hours to get ready for school.
Then you decide that you don't look cool.
Waste all your money and time
On sparkles and shine.
Then you go and stare at the others,
Wondering if they have cute brothers.
You whisper, giggle, and stare,
Gossip and offer lies to spare.
Drama and tears,
Hopes and fears,
Seem to come each day
More often than random play.
To be a girl is rough
And it's hard to be that tough.
It's a crazy jungle that girls live in,
For one wrong step and it's a terrible sin!
Being a girl seems to really stink
And it's what you all should think,
But being a girl isn't so bad,
It's certainly better than being a "lad."
