Seeing Her Laying There Tonight

by Soulful Ensemble   Apr 19, 2008

I'm not alright and the sky is falling
How can I pretend I can always turn right
When left is the only way of walking?
And I'm seeing her laying there tonight.

Running out of time for being deaf and blind
I need to see and hear her gentle voice say "hi".
I'll say hi to her too and know she's on a bind
But also know its almost over and she wont say "bye".

I'm waiting for her, thinking of her
And the skies are so bright.
Seeing her in her room all night is hard to bear,
But time is on our side.

Time is there for her to bare
And what can I find to wear
When I go see her always there
Beneath the meadows of injured care.

I wanted to take care of her
There within the lake's shore.
And the sea will blow there
Moving my heart that was forlorn.

I see her laying there tonight,
And in my mind the sky is bright.
Every day that passes is quite right
In telling me to hold on just one night.
