Someday

by Soulful Ensemble   Jan 8, 2026

Someday, when I die
All will be forgotten
Like dust
Every grain of sand
Enwrapped in wind
Of nothingness.

Someday, like any other
Beneath skies of red
My blood will wash away
Streets of soulless
Loneliness.

Someday, dawn will fall
The sun will fade
Into cries and tears
Of emptiness.

Someday, brothers
And their sisters
Will carry out their dead
Under dark skies
Where kings laugh
Full of pettiness.

Someday, when stars glow
Aligned in glory
We’ll open our gaze
In sweet remembrance
With hearts of steadiness.

Someday, justice
With scales of truth
Will blindly balance
And color skies
With hues of fairness.

And then, someday at last
Hearts will rise
And love will conquer
All with peaceful merriness.
