Thinking About You...

by Prasad Baadkar   Apr 19, 2008

Thinking about you reminds me of her
& As I draw your picture she takes your place
A prescience or something like it in the mirror appear
As the mist of illusions come to cover her face
Within lurks her shadow around eyes sprinkling fountains
Shadows peep through shut mirrors of a lost mind
A space of sort where Words have forgotten words
Faces have found other faces
Wishes have changed stars
Days struck In these silent mind wars
Yet again I can see strangers all around
& In this darkness tears of loneliness say nothing
Everything that existed just died a sudden death
& With it no condolences came our way
Neither a single soul stirred past us any day
Time has changed its course
Circumstances walked from bad to worse
All is so old, nothing new to me, even you
A Friend that resembles yet looks nothing like you.

This poem began with some amazing imagery and turned into something extremely deep. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I could interpret this how I wanted and relate to it in my own way. It makes it much closer to the readers heart when they are able to do that. A strong poem, well done.
