Deep within the story of dreamflower petals

by Prasad Baadkar   Jul 3, 2008

Deep within the story of dreamflower petals
Dewdrops quietly hide a song
Something I have waited to hear
A voice that has evaded ears for so long.

Deep within the story of dreamflower petals
A stranger's footprints still walk
Something that I have been following for months
Someone with whom I am afraid can no more talk.

Deep within the story of dreamflower petals
The rain still falls in torrents
A place where no eyes care to hug these tears
In the background it's only rain and broken sighs.

Deep within the story of dreamflower petals
Always think of things, which only you and I can see and hear
Still feel and wonder of moments once spent now all mere dreams
True as they were yesterday Wish they remained true forever.

Another deep and meaningful poem. good! 5/5

Its not literal...I really can't get into literal poems. This poem is just abstract enough to allow you to imagine.

I like the simplicity of this poem yet it is so
sad and deep. I also like the repetion of "deep within the story of dreamflower petals"..very nice. Take care.

Maybe it's the fact that it's 3 something in the morning or maybe because of the choice of music I am currently listening too. (Say All I Need by One Republic). I'm in awe of this poem. Literally, I just stopped breathing. This was so incrediably beautiful, you have a way with words. The final stanza was so sad yet meaningful, keep writing :)
