Mono

by Kendall   Apr 20, 2008

I chose denial as I jumped into a sea of lights
and now I'm swimming like an anvil.
I need the shade, I need the darkness near to keep me safe,
so I can shut my eyes and dream soon.
The whites around me brightens, twists, and shines and I can't see
except for things I don't believe in
I need the shade, I need the darkness here to keep me safe,
so I can gasp for air and thank you.
