My Shadow

by Max Krakers   Apr 21, 2008

Hiding in my bedroom,
Pretend to be asleep.
Living in this darkness,
My nightmare and my dream.

I fear nothing but sunshine,
And maybe my shadow.
The constant reminder,
That I see every day.

My skin covered in blisters,
A sunburn so to speak.
How can I walk in daylight,
Fighting my own disease .

Afraid of my own shadow,
Escaping the sunlight.
I don't know what will happen,
I'd rather close my eyes
