Loneliness

by zaheer   Apr 21, 2008

In this great sea of humanity
We can still be lonely
It engulfs us at anytime and anywhere,
and even for most of us,
It's an agony we can't bear

Loneliness can sting harder than a passionate bee,
And pierce the heart stronger than a sharp sword.
It rips apart like a ravenous beast, and pains the soul
so much so that for the lonely there is no peace

Look out!
It ls there waiting patiently
For anyone's company.

Oh! How we crave for the love,
Just for the feel, and the touch of another Human being-
The closeness, the comfort.

What ever we do doesn't matter,
for in the end, this is what our lives
Is all about--
The togetherness
And not selfishness

Please do not live in denial
How can we live with out each other

Fishes dwell in schools,
Lions in their pride,
Sheep in their Flock
us in isolation -
A choice we make
sometimes out any hesitation.

Live life and be happy
but what joy it would be
Just to have you as company.
