Dead on the Floor

You said you loved me
You said you cared
You said all these things
But you were never there

Why did you leave me
Worried for days
When you finally came home
I was hurt in so many ways

You told me you were sorry
That you'd somehow make up for it
I couldn't be with you anymore
I was tired of all the shit

You got really mad
And you started to yell
You hit my face
To the floor I fell

I started to cry
I'd never seen you like this
You hit me again
And called me a b****

What's gotten into you
I finally screamed
I got up and ran
Praying it was all a bad dream

You came after me
And beat me some more
The next thing you know
I was dead on the floor
