A moment in passing

by jamaal hooks   Apr 23, 2008

I saw you from where you stood and I must say you stole my heart. As you smiled an old song ran across my my mind. It went something like "I wanna get next to you". More like get to know you a little better and to see what level you were on. Then I realized you wasn't smiling at me,but the guy with the little girl with him. Looking at her I knew she was yours, she had your eye's and the same smile that caught my eye. So as we past each other I could smell the sweet scent of you, then I understood why he walked so close to you. you dropped a piece of paper I bent over to retrieve it for you. On it was a name and number that said call me, I like your smile too. Wondering what should I do I tossed the number instead, As much as I wanted to i couldn't be the one to make that little girl frown. She looked so happy with the both of you,so as for us let's remain a moment in passing.
