My eyes
are always awake
observing the oddities
of a species called
humans
but
those nervous eyes turn
~~blank~~
as I plunge
into the realm
of my
imagination.
I
and the sea
become one
riding a dolphin
into the sky
to laugh
in the face of
a supercilious sun
leaving behind
the trails
that doggedly try
to mangle my dreams
when I am
abruptly
jerked
back to harsh
empty existence
I smile ~~secretively~~
knowing
that
another world
lies in me
