Nightmares

by Elizabeth   Apr 24, 2008

Crimson blood on the floor,
I see your body when I open the door ...
Crimson blood all over my shoes,
I'm running and I'm running ...
I'm running away from you.
Crimson blood on my hands that won't go away,
Phantom stains from the dreadful day ...

Salty tears streaming down my face ...
Tears filled with fear ...
Fear of the memories I can't escape,
And regret over the things I can't erase ...

Voices in my head ...
Killing myself over things I said ...
Or should have said ...

There's crimson blood streaming down my wall,
I can hear voices in the hall ...

Falling and falling,
I shoot up only to find ...
It's all a dream ...
It's all in my mind!
