Backing away from the problem of pain...

Anyone can be a hero
Only he could save a life.

He is the man that stands on four legs
If only he knew how great he is.

It's like a moment stuck in a cave
You can't see the way out though it's clear as day

He never criticizes, condemns, or complains
About his struggles, regrets, and pains.

He holds back his tears
Knowing they are watching him
Like a friend betrays another
He'll save you from yourself.

He can see, smell, feel, and hear
The sin that twists our tongues
The hiss of the serpent slithers into our lives.
Once again, it prevails.

Sin's everlasting sting burns through hope
As we cast out another stranger our faith is broke.

His strength is like Satan's hate
Our's like the barrier around our hearts.

It tears at his dreams
Damned by our selfish desires.

Yet, he continues to save
Though we cut off many words.
What we don't know,
Living and dieng is what he was made for.
