Melt Away

My heart is like a giant glacier;
it slowly begins to decay.
Every time I think of you I feel it melt away.
As the water runs down my chest I feel my heart get smaller.
And before you know it my whole body is under water.
It makes me feel as if I was an ice cube that was placed upon the blacktop,
As you suddenly made my heart stop.
I feel as if you just planned to say goodbye.
I feel like you just wanted to see me suffer,
as i stare into your eyes.
Even though I never did you wrong or never betrayed you in any way,
I am still the one who has to suffer as i slowly melt away.
