Moonlight Whisper

by Playaette por Vida   Apr 27, 2008

Bathed in moonlight, seeping through my window
A warm and peaceful slumber envelops me
My body stirs, longing for your touch, your presence
Your absence calls me from my sleep
I go to the window, hoping in vain to see your face
Your touch I miss, as well as our long nights in bliss
The way our bodies mingled together: inseparable
I miss the happiness we had, the joy you gave me
The peace of mind I had lost so long ago
Now that you're gone, I have no meaning here
Time calls me to age, but death took you away
A spirit, your soul, calls me
away from the window, my sorrows
A presence, yours, surrounds me,
comforts me, envelops me
As I settle back into bed,
the covers drawn tight around me
I feel your arms around me,
Holding me close to you
Hot, burning tears of pain, loss and agony
are forever transformed
Into cool, soothing tears of joy,
as a smile crosses my face
