Fire and Ice

by Dacey Flame   Apr 27, 2008

I'm pale chipmunk cheeks and innocence.
Tousled hair and naivety
Wonder eyes and youthful ideas.
You're cool and incautious
Quick and all knowing
Neat and keeper of genius.
We clash we fight we dream
We appear to be different to phenomenal points.
But you know what they say;
Opposites attract.
And we tease we hit we collide
We don't seem to be on the same page at all.
But we're always together.
Attached at the hip.
They called us
Fire and Ice,
When we pressed our skulls together.
You are fire, all emotion.
Raw trust and belief, impulsive, and great.
Single minded, you'll burn if you're pushed or tried.
I am ice, all withheld.
Simple calm and opinions, merciless, and cold.
Nervous brained, I'll knock you on your bottom when scared or startled.
I always think of what will become of us one day,
I wonder if that means you don't.
