Roses are the victims

by WaitAutumn   Apr 27, 2008

A Black rose is about to die
Should you try and save her, or let her dry?
What if she does not want to be saved by you
Let her, disappear through and through

Why mustn't I give up?
Enough, of always having to act all grown-up
I am tired of pretending to be someone I am not
When life isn't as I thought

Why make the effort to be understood?
When it's no good, no one bothers as they should
I do try to fit in, like every other
But we don't mix with one another, like me, there is none other

A White rose is about to burn
Should you try and save her, or let her churn?
What if the answers to her questions was death
Think, and let her draw her last breath

Why is my best friend, also my worst enemy?
As I have become a refugee, she is part of the VIP
A friend is no more than a stranger who has lost its way
It stays with you, until it has found its place, far and away

Why must I give away my trust?
When to others it is nothing, just meaningless, drifting dust
All my deep secrets have been revealed, and told
Now I know, by the cold, that some are meant to stay untold

An Azure rose is about to drown
Should you try and save her, or let darkness trail her down?
What if her deep desire was to wake from this nightmare
Let the sorrowful shadows embrace her elsewhere

Why allow them to enter the door to my body and soul?
When all they do is take control, and leave you as naked as a pole
I am lost, trying to find my way home down the roadside
Outside, I stand tall, while I am doubled over, inside

Why attempt to stick back the pieces of my broken heart?
When each time I rise, I am destined to fall back apart
Another dreadful lesson learned
Another heart burned, in return

A Crimson rose is about to be emptied
Should you try and save her, or let her bleed?
What if she is smiling gracefully at the below light
Let the fires of hell grasp her, will all its might
