Life and Love

I have passed thru this phase of my days
With memories that effect in so many ways
Life and love they are such strange things
You laugh and you dance and your heart begins to sing
The music plays on and the lyrics begin to rhyme
But the message is clear I should have kept this heart of mine
I awaken from this dream that made my eyes cry
Only to see that love has passed me by
So, I will not pass this way again
For with Life and Love I cannot win
Goodbye to the days that lie ahead
To love again I think I'll sleep instead
