Maybe I'm Just Scared

by Paralyzed   Apr 29, 2008

I run,
But hardly far enough,
Never long enough,
Life is always there waiting.

I wait,
Wait to live,
To laugh,
To love.

It must be this fear,
I reek of it,
The stench is overwhelming,
It slowly sickens me.

I writhe,
Full of angst and anticipation,
Shedding this mortal skin,
Bathed in self righteousness.

Humble rumblings of faiths first step,
I will break free from this place,
This prison,
I have caged myself.
