Burning Desires

by Bo McCarthy   Apr 29, 2008

Candles burn in lust mounted on a mantle of deceit
as the rose pedals of love fall apart upon my feet.

Lonely now, the love was never lost, my dignity, out the window it was tossed.

My body lifeless, nothing left but an empty shell, a
lonely man burning in a hollow hell.

The screams they echo, mimicking my pain, no longer able to stand blood drips from the suffering and pain.

A burning desire to leave this wicked place, as I die slow a smile emerges upon my frowning face.

I leave you now with a withering goodbye, At leased I'm happy as I'm left to die.
