Perfect little dress

by shadowknight   Apr 30, 2008

Its hard to forget,
that perfect little dress,
that brought out your eyes,
and showed me you.

That flimsy cloth,
that bore me your soul,
and ensnared my senses.

It created a warmth,
so close to the heart,
and opened my eyes,
to life's true love.

Material shouldn't do this,
Theres no magic strong enough,
to create a bond stronger,
for any man to see.

That silly little outfit,
that ruled my life,
showed your petite figure,
and exaggerated your eyes.

One dress has this power,
to create and astound,
but if you look harder,
you see the spectacular.

You must look beyond the dress,
and onto the wearer,
who creates that perfect smile,
and enchants my mind.

How foolish to think,
that silly little dress,
that rested just above your knee,
was the sequin of this real beauty.

funny to know,
that love is not the dress,
yet the wearer behind,
the angel behind the gown.

The dress is ordinary,
brown and dusty,
but you my pretty,
are the star of my night.
