Some Days

by LiveMyLifeOnALullaby   Apr 30, 2008

Some days I think about it
About how one day it could happen
When I feel your soothing embrace
To shield me from the horrors of the world
Where pain stabs all that enters
Where evil is all that surrounds us

Some days I think about it
About how you could be with her
While you surround her with comfort
I'm left alone with no shelter
As I glare at the you both
I ask, why isn't that me?

Some days I think about it
About how tender your lips are against mine
When my heart beats faster, yet slower
And not a single drop of fear exists
Because I know you are mine
And for eternity, I am yours

Some days I think about it
About how my dreams are merely wishes
Never seeming to come true
I plunge into the darkness of reality
Where death, hate and agony dwell
Where dreams turns to nightmares and never goes back

While other days I wonder
Why do I bother standing here
Between these two worlds
Yet not able to make a move
