Meeting Point Of Cultures

by Goodbye   May 1, 2008

I came across yesterday
three guys dressed up as "Jesus"
for the May Day festival
They obviously were drunken ones
I thought "dear Lord" and I try to walk
away from very far
They noticed me with shiny eyes
and come to say "hellos"
I thought they must be totally jerk
sometimes stupid Finnish fellows
I didn't want them to think I scare them
so I keep my face straight, no smile
And when I passed them they were shouting
they left there speaking for a while

"Yeah, this is THEIR attitude to to us
when we are standing in the meeting point of culture"
It is funny because I am was born in this country,
I grew up in this country till teenage and I have the same blood.

But if you want you can explain everything
by blaming Muslims -oh yes we are so bad
If pretty Muslims chicks don't want to talk
to drunken pigs it surely make you feel sad

You are saint, I would say "too saint" to see
everything black and white
But my being apart of Muslim umma does not
give you a racism right
If you have problem without I do nothing
and I belong the same human race
What about then my black Muslim sister
will you start moaning them too, straight face to face?

Hi and salaam to everyone! This is a poem about my lovely life in western society, in Finland. Here obviously have some racism going on and people want to find everything very difficult way... Like these stupid drunken pigs who were calling me in dirty names yesterday only because I was not interested to talk with them... They say this is some culture dilemma... I see no culture difference, for Allah sake, I was born here... I know everything. Don't think I am stupid...never underestimate me... My message to people with islamphobia...don't be surprised...when our religion is spreading around this world...if you are begging for a fight...don't be surprised when you will get a one... I am a pacifist...and you have make me very angry person in one year... what about those you are more like you...less pacifist personalities... Think. Peace out...

Noor I can understand what you are feeling and you have showed your anger against racism in the truest way.But you know that this ghost of racism can not be abolished so easily. We must live in this world as a human being and not as a representative of a particular religion.THe greatest religion is Humanity which should be practised by everybody.Only than we will be able to exhorcize the ghost of racism.Just get relaxed and think over it.

Oh noor.....i am so very sorry this happened to you. i live the usa, and even though i live in an area where its most all arab/muslim, we too face racisim. even racisim between the arabs...shii'te / sunni / christian. and even the black muslims, where here in this country most ARAB do not except the black person as a "real muslim". its very, VERY sad.

my father says all the time, "salwa when we turn the lights out, no one knows what religion or color we are - sometimes we must live life with our eye shields"
