Sky

by The Invisible Boy   May 1, 2008

Everyday I wake up to the same sky
Wishing one day those clouds will pass by
Waiting for the stories to unfold
Waiting to meet you and one day to hold
Waiting to wave goodbye to the lonely cold
Waiting to be with you even when I am old
Waiting for this tear to drop from my eye

Taking the colour from the wrong kind of rainbow
Hoping that one day I'll know
Taking the star from the wrong kind of night
Hoping that one day I'll win the fight
Taking the sun from the wrong kind of day
Hoping that one day I'll get my say
Taking the wind from the wrong kind of storm
Hoping that one day I'll be on form
Taking the rain from the wrong kind of shower
Hoping that one day I'll have enough power
Taking the grass from the wrong kind of field
Hoping that one day I'll be your shield
Taking the leaf from the wrong kind of tree
Hoping that one day you will meet me
Taking the book from the wrong kind of shelf
Hoping that one day I can be myself

Then one day I will wake to a new sky
The clouds would have passed by
The stories would have been unfold
I would have met you and we would hold
I would have waved goodbye to the cold
I would be with you when I am old
The tear would have dropped from my eye

Taking the colour from the right kind of rainbow
I'll know
Taking the star from the right kind of night
I'll win the fight
Taking the sun from the right kind of day
I'll get my say
Taking the wind from the right kind of storm
I'll be on form
Taking the rain from the right kind of shower
I'll have enough power
Taking the grass from the right kind of field
I'll be your shield
Taking the leaf from the right kind of tree
You would have met me
Taking the book from the right kind of shelf
I can be myself
