The Light

by Kathryn H   May 1, 2008

Here I lay on the ground
Waiting for daybreak to light up

Hearing the voices of the unknown
Telling me I am something greater that I have acknowledged
And more then the human spirit can hold
And I shine brighter then a new candle

Whether or not I will see the light
I know it is there

Eventually awaiting to show my destination
To show me exactly where home is

So I will lay here listening to the voices
Having them tell me what I am to do
Because I am lost without the light
So I will stay here until the day breaks dawn
