No Town

by Kathryn H   May 1, 2008

I twist and turn
Struggling to get out of this town
Been aching for too long
And the compassion here has made my heart drain

The air here is not clean
Suffocates me by the day
The people here have no name
Their souls have been taken out of them

And who is to blame?

I tear up every time I think
I could eventually die here
But I won't let that happen
I don't want to die in vein

So I shall twist and turn
Fight until I am released free
From the town that has no sun
And hopefully have a new life begun
