Just Cry the Tears You Need to Cry

Awh this was a very sweet piece. quite heartfelt. my favorite kinds of poems. and i could really relate to this. i love poems i can relate to, makes me feel better to kno im not the only one going through the same struggle or what not. job well done. 5/5.

Wow this poem is extremely beautiful! I'll start off by saying that the flow is amazing and you tell a beautiful story! I love the whole topic you chose to write about. It is really comforting to read this and a lot of people can probably relate. It is a great thing when you can see past someone's fake smiles and realize when they are pretending because it shows you really care.. and you can help.

But baby let me tell you,
That I can see through that wall,
Baby you don't need to pretend,
Because I will always catch your fall.
^^ Beautiful stanza.. it is nice to know that you have someone that you can be yourself around because they will love you no matter what - and in this poem you are that person that will be there no matter what.

I know you feel so weak,
And the smiles you wear are fake,
Baby you don't need to pretend,
I know you've had all you can take.

^^^ I love this stanza because you are saying that it is ok to be sad... it is ok to be weak.. we don't need to pretend because sometimes life can be so rough on us that we NEED to be sad and cry just so we can move on. You do a great job of showing that feeling this way is OKAY.

And I know I cannot banish it,
But I swear I'll pull you through,
Baby you don't need to pretend,
Because I, babe, will be there for you.

^^ Again - another reassuring stanza - letting them know that you will help and you will be there.

Stop pretending to be okay,
When I can see through every lie,
Stop pretending to be tough,
And just cry the tears you need to cry.

^^ This stanza is my favorite because it pretty much sums up the entire poem. Stop pretending and just be yourself because it is OKAY! I love this stanza. Amazingly written.

Baby just stop pretending,
Be the person that you are,
If you need a listening ear,
Then I babe will never be too far.

^^ Another beautiful stanza. You say it all and you say it perfectly. "Be the person that you are" .. I couldnt agree with that statement anymore.
