Life's Letdown

by Grunge Angel   May 2, 2008

To those who don't understand
why I act the way I do
why I can't live a carefree life
and be happy just like you

To those who don't understand
or don't have the patience to see
I'll have you know you're pushed out for a reason
It's to keep you from the inner me

For those who don't care to appreciate
All the things your parents do
Who fail to realize you have it good
Yet you complain about being you

To those who don't understand
I would love to live your life
So I could finally realize
What it's like to have a father and mother who are husband and wife

So I could finally have a meal
That didn't go through the microwave
So I could have someone to talk to
To put up with me on my bad days

So I could feel what it's like
To not have to be torn between two sides
So I could attend every family occasion
And just not have to decide

So I could be together on Holidays
And see smiles on everyone's face
So I could blow out the candles
And not have to see an empty space

And even though the things I lacked
Have made me who I am
They have also made me what I'm not
I just wish someone gave a damn

You know i love this. But like you said you learn more and appreciate life more when you have to work for eveything. When things are not just handed to you.To me it seems like the people who have the best life seem to complain about it alot more than those people who barely have anything! I liked this and it made me see my life is alot better then most! And i love it and working for what you want is more rewarding! And to those who have money..crap just handed to em stop complaining! 5/5
