i want him

you reduce me to a heartbroken mess,
each and everytime you leave me,
and the most funny thing is
i let you do that to me all the time.
i'm a glutton for punishment it seems,
when you fill me with so much hope,
that the last time will be the last,
and you will actually stay with me,
but good fortune doesn't smile upon me,
and you leave as fast as you come in,
leaving me with a crumbling heart,
that no one but you can fix.
you don't care about me that way though,
you would rather desert me than help,
it will take too much of your time,
when you could have another girl
with just the snap of your fingers,
because you are just that good
with your words and your actions.
girls fall for you all the time,
and im one of the pitiful few
you keep around until you tire of them.
i know you are going to leave me soon
because i can only hold your interest
with the use of my body and talents.
i should be ashamed of those acts
but, surprisingly, i am not, anymore.
i hold my head up high with pride though,
walk away from those who whisper about me
and act as those words don't slice me open
and slowly kills me both mind and spirit.
the only thing that keeps me alive,
at least for the next little while,
is the hopes and thoughts you will be back.
that sounds desperate but i can't explain more,
it is what it is, and thats that,
i want him, whats more to say about it?
