Never Cries

by Melissa   May 5, 2008

She held the knife deep against her arm
Watching as the blood slowly ran down to her
Swollen fingers
As she struggled to closed them
Blood began to seep from them
But she doesn't cry
She welcomes the pain that it gave her
Everyone knows about her scars
They all know what she does
When she's all alone
But they don't stop her
She old enough to help herself
All she wants is something
She will never have
So alone she sits amazed by the amount of blood
That came from her arm
She closes her eyes and falls asleep
And dreams of a river
And in the river it's full of blood
And she's drowning in it
But she doesn't cry
She welcomes the darkness with open arms
As she's falling she knows it will all be over soon
The pain
The hate
When she thinks she hit something that feels like the end
She opens her eyes
And she washes off yesterday's memories
