Beware the Beast Within

by Rose   May 7, 2008

Let not mine calm blue eyes fool thee,
Nor that smiling facade,
For that smile doth not mine eyes reach.
I bid thee, look thee closer, look thee deeper.
Doth thou not see that raging turmoil within?

If not, I bid thee judge me not
by mine appearance,
'Tis deceiving in its petite curvaceous form.
It is not mine size that doth matter
But mine strength of will.

Let not mine cheerful disposition lead thee astray,
Nor mine gentleness
For they are naught but walls behind with which to hide.
I bid thee, look thee again,
Doth thou not see the Beast within?

I beg thee, step thee not close.
Beware the Beast but rests.
'Tis deceiving in its curled cuddly form.
It is only mine strength of will that restrains it.
Beware once more, the Beast within.

*sigh, this is what comes of controlling my temper...
