TREASURED MEMORIES

by Edwina   May 7, 2008

Treasured memories are food for the soul
more valuable than silver and gold
when all else fades and bones are old
treasured memories enlivens the soul

Through another's eyes no moment stole
embracing memories as time enfolds

when the future seems bleak
and the rest is unknown
and a favorite quilt conspires with the cold
treasured memories exceeded boundaries
and replaced uncertainties with possibilities
