Today is the saddest day for me
the day of your death
the anniversary
this sadness overwhelms me
it consumes and confuses me
I dont want to dampens anyone's day
but there is just something I need to say

Life goes on as they say
though yours was violently taken away
for some an ordinary day
but for me this sadness stays

I welcome the sadness without a fight
but it filled my dreams and ruled the night
as you remained with me
your smiling face comforts me
remembering your life that ceased to be
A shining light guiding me.
