Is this real?

by Brad Quammen   May 9, 2008

Is this real?,that which I see with mine own eyes?
Has my heart stopped beating?
Why can I not move let alone breathe,
For I am in awe at the sight of that which I can't stop pondering.
My mind is in shock at the moment of arrival.
A tear forms in the corner of my eye.
Such radiant joy showers forth,
like a waterfall within the mountains of bliss.
I embrace her and smell the scent of the sweet nectar of life,
a scent of all that is perfection.

Is this real and not a dream?
For in my dreams I have foreseen this...
Could this really be possible?
I can only hope this is not but a dream,
a dream of such realistic passion, such beauty.

As the world turns,
I feel joy in knowing that I am where you once were,
though you are always with me.
If you were the sun,
and I was the moon,
there'd be neither day or night,
just me and you.
