Sometimes I feel,
so alone, and so afraid!
wondering (if)
You'll deny the the vows we made!

We were so happy,
That day we stood before GOD above!
As we looked into each others eyes
There is no question, we were in love

I hear you saying , Its been too long.
Can't you see that we are through,
I keep praying you'll come back
To a love that is true!

So please just look,
Into my eyes.
And you'll see love ,
An endless supply!

Some things have changed,
But not the love I have for you!
Just give me (time) to (change),
And be the man that you once knew.

You say its hopeless ,
We've been apart for too long !
I say lets try it,
We once had a love so strong !

Please just take my hand,
As you did ten years before.
Just open up your heart,
And there I'll stay forever more!

My beautiful bride, I'll wait for you!
Until the day I die!
I could never replace you ,
No I'm not even going to try!

Girl I would rather,
Live my life alone!
Than with an imitation,
Of the love that you have shown!

    You have written words that my husband might have said to me if he were a poet. He does not know how to express himself so he does what he can in other ways. Yes, I know him well enough to understand those ways and I came back. Thanks for putting these words to paper. Now I can pretend he said them to me. (smile)

    It's a beautiful thing to be loved and a tragic thing to lose that love,I really liked this poem it was of course written with the same feeling you show in all your poems.I wouldn't mind knowing the final outcome of this although i think i already know.
