Each Step Sure

by Moira   May 12, 2008

Through mist and rain and darkest storm
An old man trudges; weary, forlorn
Through hill and dale, down valley and oâ??er mount
Each step sure, no room for doubt

Forsworn he was, since birth itâ??s gone
With print then print toward horizon on
Then beckon the lady, fair maiden is she
Whom he shall meet â??pon bended knee

Then twin oaks travel
â??Cross river and sea
Till home is found
Near you and me

Friend death shall reign through all the land
Oâ??er love and master, a mortal man
