The Lonely Girl

by Hali Cararnza   May 13, 2008

She walks the streets
Looking for a home
Longing for something to eat
But down the streets she roams
In ratty clothes
And messy hair
With a red nose
And they just sit and stare
She sleeps in the park
Even in the rain
The dogs all bark
And all she feels is pain
No one tries to help
No one cares
She lets out a yelp
Because she's scared
They don't know
They can't see
That this girl that's alone
Is really me
