Euphoric Rain

by Indian Comma Bean   May 13, 2008

Ecstasy rain drops
From candy coated clouds,
Drip down like honey
To our world; An everlasting Rave.

With Rainbows and lollipops,
In the heart of the city,
Flashing lights and fast beat tunes; Ha,
Streetlights and traffic horns.

Time Passes.
As fantasies wither; Lost
To ruby tears of children's ghosts; Tragedy
Befallen upon an empire.

Sunken boats; Our beaten homes,
Keep weary minds from wandering.
Creaky, mold-encrusted boards,
Hold secrets of a lost adventure.

Old widow from the mist,
Crickety cane; Gripped by agile cryptic hands,
Holds the essence of a mystic voice,
Speaking tales of quiet disaster.

Minutes tick.

As euphoric rain drops cease
To fall upon dusty panes of time,
The widow weeps; Remembering days
Of our world; A neverlasting Rave.
