Club life

by Ares   May 16, 2008

It gives me grooves and a happy smile,
the power lies beyond,
the club is filled with a joyful crowd,
tonight may be the future.

a beauty queen returns at last,
the boys are all on fire,
a bottle breaks as she flicks her eyes,
her eyes stare right in mine.

'cause it's alright,
to apeal to the audience,
not to share,
quirky smiles.
and it's just fine,
to attract other people,
don't pull off,
another move.

tonight made me the king,
of all that can be spared,
and cast away.

I trace you back against the wall,
my lips are made of water,
it feels like I'm about to fly,
and touch the grace of night.

she pulls a joke and makes me laugh,
at least that's what she'll think,
but when I look in to her eyes,
she knows how much I care.

tonight made me the king,
of all that can be spared,
and cast away.
tonight made us a couple,
of second bests and runner's up.

Wow. This is pretty deep in all directions, and it's also...pretty romantic, which might be what you were going for, well, most likely :P Pretty good for writers block, eh? You really are great, I got a lot out of this poem. Great job!
