The spider web

by Four Letter Lie   May 18, 2008

A lonely old spider web,
Built among bricks.
It seems so harmless,
Yet within lies many tricks.

The web seems so serine,
I look inside.
To my great sorrow,
I find the spider has died.

The web seems so empty,
As i know it once was a home.
But someone squished the spider,
It's no longer free to roam.

Dead flies, Caught in the web,
Slowly fading away.
Those flies still remain there,
to this very day.
