Consumerism as a Religion

by JoshCNakroshis   May 20, 2008

The God of Consumerism blinds us with his cheap imitations
He hangs his photos everywhere and even though they are crooked, he still looks good
He dehumanizes and destroys, giving Facelessness to our enemies
And blinding us from our true nature
Love and Respect, two things he doesn't know
Heartless fools copy his example
Hoping to reach enlightenment
Destructive forces take these poor men
And turn them into beasts
His evil disposition and his sweet, sweet lies
Have taken many a man's right to life
But! Fear not the men in rags
For they know his evil ways
Listen to their advice
And stay away from capitalist dreams
Heed my warning child
For you are next.
