I see the actions everyday you take,
Learning how I was your mistake,
Watching the regretful glint in your eye,
Trying my hardest not to cry,

I felt the pounding in my chest,
The beating of my love so clear,
Knowing now it was all a lie,
Wishing I could disappear,

Not knowing how something so real, could be so fake,
As all my worldly love you take,
And even now you use me,
Never understanding how I let you abuse me,

It's a painful path to follow,
Waking now, I feel so hollow,
This will be my cross to bear,
Reminded of that sinful glare,

Even after all the times you shattered me,
I knew I never wanted to be free,
And even though regretful sin embeds my soul,
You were still the sweetest passion of all.
