The fallen angel (adieu)

by Tess Beautifully Broken   May 22, 2008

You make yourself feel better,
By telling others your biting lies,
But I know the real truth behind you,
I see the real girl you are under you're disguise.

Oh hail mighty one,
Should I bow down as you pass?
For you're the princess of deception,
A girl walking, barefoot, on broken glass.

I have never understood,
Why the devil cares so much,
About how I live my life,
Who I see and what I touch.

Why is she so evil,
With that stupid plastered grin,
I see the person she is,
A fallen angel possessed with sin.

I am who I am,
You're who they want you to be,
You're the fallen angel,
And I am still just me.

Go ahead with your pretending,
Of that's all that's real to you,
I don't need you in my life,
And with that I bid adieu.
