One Day

by Romancing the Darker Side   May 22, 2008

Pain spilled out, near picturesque,
A masquerade under neat disguise.
Those among me played out, faceless,
A young and deeply poetic demise.

Drenched to the bone, careless and free,
A lonely survivor sought the opposing.
Agony slipped in, surrendering the body,
Of I, who was only posing.

Twisted and tortured, turmoil transpired,
Until I had soon seen enough.
One day I'd decided, black blood in hand,
Depressing demons were no bluff.

Smashing out of the mold, my spirit dead,
I raced to recover my soul.
I slipped and fell, completely helpless;
On day had taken its toll.
