By Thy Chains

by RedDeadShore   May 23, 2008

Blinded down by thy chains,
Logical reason gone astray,
Spears for eternal frightful pains,
Upon the devil's weakness is prey,
Circulation cut by thy chains.

Hanged within by thy chains,
A shore of shells and water of red,
The ambiance of such perveristy reigns,
The risen will fall upon the sand of dead,
Roped and ripped all by thy chains.

Bodies hurled by thy chains,
Small trenches of pool thickened blood,
Endless fields, endless sterile plains,
Memories of joy buried by black mud,
Umbilical cords replaced by thy chains.

Mankind drawn inwards by thy chains,
Grass is rock, ash are all trees,
Sorrow of humanity running down drains,
Scarring with a razor-sharp breeze,
Life held corrupt by thy chains,

Blinded down by thy chains,
Our life is like a defunct dried lake,
All poisoned by the air in our veins,
A hellish nightmare we can never wake,
We are held... By thy chains.
